3500 Krems
First mentioned in the 11th century, the “Kremser Sandgrube” is today the most popular place of growing the Grüner Veltliner wine. In 1938, a group of winegrowers founded the WINZER KREMS, Austria’s biggest producer of high-quality wines, situated in Krems. Today, 1480 winegrowers cultivate 990 hectares of wine fields in Krems and the surrounding wine growing towns and villages.
At the 3-wing-farm building at the Sandgrube 13, the Winzer Krems’ headquarter, a tribune will be built for the festival, providing roofed seats for 1000 visitors in an unforgettable atmosphere. The location offers a gorgeous view over the whole town, the river Danube up to the Göttweig monastery and the Lower Austrian wine growing area at the border to the Wachau. Visitors will be catered with high-quality wines and meals, contributing to a harmonic musical experience.
