Since today (March 23rd 2023), Lower Austria, the province in which Glatt&Verkehrt is taking place, has a new government. This government incorporates ideas from the far-right wing of the political spectrum. On of these ideas is to ban any language besides German among school kids during their break between lessons.

All the more we stand for cultural diversity, equality and tolerance. With the help of music, we will continue to raise our voice against racism and any kind of discrimination.

Therefore: Welcome to our festival, and let’s make the world a better place!

Niederösterreich, das Bundesland, in dem Glatt&Verkehrt stattfindet, hat seit heute (23. März 2023) eine neue Regierung. Diese Regierung vertritt Ideen vom rechtesten Rand des politischen Spektrums. Zu diesen Ideen gehört etwa das Verbot jeglicher Sprache außer der deutschen, wenn Schüler*innen Pause haben.

Umso mehr stehen wir weiterhin für kulturelle Vielfalt, Gleichberechtigung und Toleranz. Mit Hilfe der Musik erheben wir weiterhin unsere Stimme gegen Rassismus und Diskriminierung jeglicher Art.

In diesem Sinne: Willkommen bei uns, lasst uns die Welt ein Stück besser machen!
