Klangraum Krems Arkadenhof

The Gothic Minorite Church Krems-Stein—well known under the name of Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche since 2004 and ever since appreciated as a great concert and event venue—has gained a new attraction in the course of the comprehensive restoration of the Minorite Monastery: the cloistered courtyard of the former monastery now offers additional room for special events. The music festival Glatt&Verkehrt 2008 will inaugurate this charming atmosphere with some of its concerts.

The green arcade yard gives room for open air concerts, events, receptions and other occasions for up to 180 persons. The roofed arcade including a catering delivery station with all its necessary connections is a convenient venue for stand-up receptions and caterings.

In the course of the restoration works the Gothic chapter house was also given a new look and is now no longer accessible from the church but from the arcade yard. The acoustically interesting room is perfectly apt for smaller events between 10 and 50 persons.
